Anne Lucey writes in the Irish Times about plans for a once-off mobile observatory, the first of its kind in Europe, which are under way in Kerry on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. The observatory would operate day and night in all weathers, and could be moved throughout the 700sq km Kerry International Dark-Sky Reserve.

A galaxy far away: new mobile observatory for Kerry. Star Wars fans visiting Skellig Michael may soon have another space attraction to enjoy.
